This thesis aims to clarify the intrinsic characteristic of ‘image’, of ‘flesh’ of the body-subject, and of ‘flesh’ of the world; to research the quality of the image and its importance to Merleau-Ponty’s flesh-ontology; and to clarify the characteristic of ‘painting-image’, ‘photo-image’, and ‘film-image’, and their value and efficacy in the age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. These clarifications will help establish the true, ontic meaning of human beings and the pro-intentional way in the society of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In the chiasm between the body-subject and the world, the body-subject has a flesh for the world, and simultaneously the world has a flesh for the body-subject. Flesh is the reversibility and the visibility -- that is, the flesh of chiasm clarifies the characteristic of everything and ‘Being’. This reveals the characteristic of relations between the image of body-subject and the image of object. I will clarify the value of the digital image and its effectiveness by researching the social characteristics of the Internet of Things, 3D printing, robots, and synthetic biology on the basis of flesh-ontological flesh in the age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. I will clarify the value of the artistic images in the world of painting, photo, and film, in an attempt to understand the being of person in the age of the fourth industrial revolution. Ultimately, we may always do best our regardfulness for the economic wealth-image, liberty-image, equality-image, health-image, happiness-image through the righteous understanding as regards the images of all things, the technologies of industrial revolution and the being of person in the age of the fourth industrial revolution.
