The purpose of this paper is to grope for a clue to the ideology of the Asian Community. We are in need of the Asian Community to get over civilizational crisis. But before forming the Asian Community, we should look for the direction and thought of it. The origin of civilizational crisis is come from the development and science based on dualistic view of the West. As the result of this fact, man is alienated and became slave of matter. But in the system of the thought of Donghak, there are unitary world-view with co-existence, harmony and unity. Especially, the thought of 'attending on Hanulnim(侍天主)' in Donghak is connected with humanism, equalitarianism and universalism. So, we can suggest Donghak as an ideology of the Asian Community.
